Preservation Open House
We want to share our love of Ford House with you, our members! In turn, we invite you to bring a guest to a special Preservation Open House.
Ford House closes each winter to give Eleanor Ford's grand home a little TLC. This year's projects include glazing and repairing ceilings, conserving historic pieces of furniture, caring for and taking inventory of the many books in the library, as well as deep-cleaning many of the beautiful objects Eleanor and Edsel Ford collected.
At the Preservation Open House, our collections team will share their work, giving you a behind-the-scenes look into caring for the more than 90-year-old home.
The event is for Ford House members, plus an additional guest. It is free, but we ask that you RSVP here online in advance, as space is limited.
