Garden Talk: Starting Your Garden

The ground may still be frozen, but that won't stop us from dreaming of spring. Our Ford House horticulturist will guide you through all the early preparation you can do now to start out that garden on the right foot.

Our talk will be held virtually using the Zoom platform. Cost is $10 for the general public, or $8 for Ford House members.

About the presenter, Kelley Maricle: Kelley currently works as a Horticulturist and the Rosarian at Ford House, responsible for the care of over 700 roses. In addition, she also serves as the Greenhouse Manager and Floral Designer, producing plants and arrangements for use across the estate. She has been working in the green industry for 12 years, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Michigan, an Associates Degree in Landscape Horticulture from Oakland Community College, and a Certificate in Floral Design. In her spare time she enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and being creative in any way she can.

Times for all Ford House events are in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
