Music with the DSO - Sold Out

**We are sorry, but this event has sold out.

We're excited to bring you a taste of one of our favorite summertime traditions.

Join us on August 29 for an outdoor, socially distanced concert featuring a small group of Detroit Symphony Orchestra musicians performing on the Ford House terrace.

Bring your chairs and blankets and spread out on the lakeside lawn while a DSO ensemble performs for a limited audience at the Fords’ historic estate.

  • Gates will open at 6 p.m. Performance at 7 p.m.
  • Cost is $10 for general admission, $25 for reserved seating. Capacity is limited. Advance ticket sales only.
  • General admission ticket holders should bring their own chairs and blankets. Reserved seating includes a chair, spaced for everyone’s safety.
  • You may bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn. We will not have concessions for sale. And sorry, no fireworks this year.
The health and safety of our patrons, musicians, and staff is our top priority. Event attendees will be required to follow protocols that keep us all safe.
These include:
  • Wearing masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times, unless eating or drinking;
  • Social distancing – maintaining at least six feet of distance from other people at all times, when possible;
  • Maintaining a strict audience capacity in accordance with the statewide mandate that outdoor events do not exceed 100 attendees.
  • Hand sanitizer and restrooms will be available onsite at all events.
The DSO and the Ford House reserve the right to ask attendees not complying with health and safety protocols to leave the events.
You may bring a picnic to enjoy during the show. We will not have concessions.
The concert is outdoors. Please watch the weather and dress accordingly. You will have to carry your chairs and blankets from the parking lot the Main Residence for the concert.
Parking is in the Visitor Lot near the Main Gate entrance.
Parking for those with a disability plate or placard will be available closer to the concert. Please note that the concert is on the lawn and will require crossing uneven terrain and grass.
If the threat of inclement weather forces us to cancel, Ford House will notify visitors via email, our website, and Facebook page. If we are forced to cancel before the start of the concert, we will issue a refund.
Thank you to our generous sponsors who made this possible, including Comerica Bank and Ascension Michigan.
