Photography Workshop: Sky and Water
This virtual workshop meets over two sessions at 10 a.m. Sept. 26 and Oct. 3.
Cost: $15 general public, $10 Ford House members
Learn the tips and tricks for photographing the water and sky during this workshop inspired by the beautiful vistas of Lake St. Clair. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome. After the first session, try out your new skills and share the results at the second session the following Saturday. Each participant will have the opportunity to visit Ford House between the sessions.
The workshop will be led by photographer Gretchen Dorian who is well known for her photographic work on the Great Lakes and beyond. She specializes in environmental portraiture, water, ice and boat photography. Her photographs have been exhibited at the Midland Center for the Arts, Detroit Scarab Club, Dennos Museum in Traverse City, Prague Art Museum in the Czech Republic, and Petosky’s Crooked Tree Arts Center. Gretchen was born in Grosse Pointe and grew up sailing on Lake St. Clair.
This is an online workshop. You will receive an access code and a link to use to join the meeting. Our program uses the Zoom platform. You will need to download the Zoom app to your smartphone or tablet, or log into the Zoom website before you begin the workshop.
