The serenity of the Ford House grounds provides a perfect backdrop for the wellness practice of walking meditation.
The Detroit Zen Center's vice-abbot Myungju will lead a series of meditation walks at the estate. All are welcome, whether it's already a part of your daily routine, or if you are new to meditating.
Walking meditation is a simple yet powerful practice that encourages you to let go of your troubles and worldly concerns for a short time. In this series, you will be guided to give yourself a chance to rest and enjoy some fresh air and simple movement. Please also bring a blanket, cushion, or stool to sit on for the seated conversation portion.
All participants are required to bring a mask and follow social-distancing protocols.
Cost: $10 general public, $8 Ford House members
