Wild Wednesday Walks Coming! |
WILD WEDNESDAY WALKS
Join us for Wild Wednesday Walks, a new series of adventures for families to discover the Ford House landscape together. Unless otherwise noted, walks are led by local science teacher and musician Russ Glenn and feature games, music and activities. Walks begin at 6 p.m and are $7 per person or $5 for members. Come early and enjoy a casual dinner grilled by the pool house. Click on the titles below to purchase tickets.
May 23 - Exploring Habitats, Explore what makes up a habitat and what types of plants and animals make Michigan – and Ford House - home.
June 6 - Adaptations, Animals and plants have many unique adaptations that allow them to survive and thrive in their habitats. We’ll learn about some of those adaptations and see what kind of adaptations humans have made as well!
June 20 - The State of Water, Michigan has been called the “Water Wonderland” due to the fact that the state is surrounded on three sides by this amazing substance. On this walk, we will be learning all about water; what make it special, where it came from, and what it means for it to be “clean”. We will learn what sorts of tests do scientists run on water to determine its quality and perform some of these tests on Ford Cove.
