Ford House gets a pave lift!

The roadways at Ford House are getting a lift!
All roadways from the Visitor Center to the circle drive at the House are being redone to provide a smoother surface for our walkers and for our shuttles. All Tours and Walks are continuing as scheduled/
In an effort to be environmentally conscious, old roadway debris has been ground up and placed across the street from the estate to create more drivable paths when the land is used for event parking. The material creates a pervious surface that allows water to infiltrate and when overseeded with the appropriate grass seed, will blend into the landscape. But, underneath the grass will be three new, drivable, paths!
In addition to not greatly changing the landscape, the pathways are completely reversible should Ford House chose to remove them at a later date.
