Local Schools Helping Ford House Shine Brighter
Posted: December 7, 2015

With a little help from local elementary schools, the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House will shine brighter than ever this holiday season.

This year, Ford House has invited 20 Grosse Pointe and St. Clair Shores elementary schools to show their festive spirit in our first-ever Trim-a-Tree Contest. Thanks to our sponsor, Camelot Tree & Shrub Company, each school has decorated its own live tree. Wait until you see all the cute and clever ideas these kids came up with!

Be sure to vote on your favorite tree during Winter Wonderland. The winning school will receive a $500 donation to the school’s art department; second place will receive $250; and third place will receive $100. Winners will be announced on the Ford House website January 5.

As a bonus, Ford House will return and plant each school’s tree in the spring. For a preview of all the trees, check out the photo gallery on our Facebook page, and tell us which is your favorite!

Winter Wonderland runs Fridays and Saturdays in December. Click here for a schedule and to make your reservations. We can’t wait to share this Season to Shine with you at Ford House!
