Our Day Volunteering in Detroit
Posted: August 15, 2019

A combined 23 staff members from Ford House and our fellow historic property Fair Lane: Home of Clara & Henry Ford took a day this August to volunteer with Life Remodeled, clearing out undergrowth and garbage in the neighborhood surrounding the Durfee Innovation Society. Our work was a part of the Life Remodeled’s 2019 six-day project, addressing 257 heavily blighted alleyways.

Our work cleaning up the alley helped make tangible progress toward making the surrounding neighborhood safer for residents and forging positive connections.

We are proud of our staff for their hard work!
