With 87 acres, the Ford House grounds, gardens, and lakeside landscapes offer visitors ample space to bask in nature. Join Ford House staff this fall for a guided tour of these grounds, and along the way, learn about the historical figures that made them possible: Edsel & Eleanor Ford, Albert Kahn, and Jens Jensen.

During this excursion, we will tour Bird Island while basking in beautiful Fall colors. We will also learn about the historic buildings that help make Ford House a home. This tour is about 50 minutes. It is held entirely outside, and we encourage visitors to dress for the weather and to wear comfortable shoes. Portions of the estate have uneven terrain and may be difficult for individuals with mobility challenges.
