More About Visiting Ford House

This special guided tour gives you a chance to peek behind closed doors, navigate private staircases, and explore hidden spaces. You will see the infirmary, the tunnel to the Powerhouse, the maze-like attic, and basement storage areas.

Hear about the devoted professional staff who worked behind the scenes, and how the house has adapted and changed over the course of the past nine decades.

This tour is about an hour long and requires climbing up and down multiple flights of stairs, and because of these constraints, it is not wheelchair accessible.

Each tour is limited to 8 visitors so advance registration is strongly recommended. Masks are required indoors at Ford House, regardless of vaccination status.

The tour is offered at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., Tuesdays-Sundays, as well as 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays. This tour is about 75 minutes long. If you want to see the main living areas in the residence, you may want to allow for extra time after your tour.
