*We apologize, but this event is now sold out*

Ford House presents an exhibition of “en Plein Air” paintings, featuring water, one of our region’s greatest natural resources.

All work displayed at the reception was painted in Michigan, on location, “in plain air”. The practice requires sustained observation and translation of the natural world, with particular attention to the interactions of light and color. En Plein air artists work throughout the year and seasons in various media including oils, watercolor, and acrylic. Some artists finish their work in “the field’ while others add finishing touches in their studios. The Color of Water includes works by artists who participate in regional plain air painting groups. All works are for sale directly from the artists.

The reception for The Color of Water: Plein Air Painting in Michigan, will be on Thursday, June 30, from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.in the Jensen Kahn Rooms (and tent).

Admission is free, but registration is required.
