The Ford House

Group Tours

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Group Tour bookings are temporarily on hold.

Our previous restaurant the Cotswold Cafe and the indoor rental spaces closed in Fall 2017 to make way for the construction of our new Visitor Center.

We look forward to the exciting new amenities you’ll find in our new Visitor Center, which will include a new restaurant, two brand new exhibits with one-of-a-kind cars and never-before-seen artifacts, a lakeview rental space, expanded retail shop and more! Click here for updates on the project

The anticipated opening of our new Visitor Center was slightly delayed due to the pandemic. The doors are now projected to open April 10, 2021!

Group Tour Options (temporarily unavailable)

As you plan ahead, here is some basic info on some of our offerings you can consider:

Group Tours are offered for parties of 10 or more and must be booked at least two weeks in advance.
To help your group make the most of their visit, 2 - 2 1/2 hours should be allowed for the estate tour. Ford House is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

Estate Tour (temporarily unavailable)
Our most popular tour, and the best option if your group hasn't yet visited Ford House. The Estate Tour begins with a video that provides an historic overview of the Ford family. Knowledgeable guides will lead your group on a tour of the home to discover its stories and spectacular treasures. A highlighted walk through the grounds features a look at some of the most impressive areas of the beautiful, expansive estate and a visit to some of the outer buildings, such as Josephine's Playhouse, the Recreation Building, Gate Lodge, and Historic Garage.

Our Group Tours department can help put together an agenda for the day that fits with your group's timing.

Behind the Scenes Tours (temporarily unavailable)
When Edsel and Eleanor lived here, a large and loyal staff kept this substantial estate running. Go behind the scenes to see where they lived and worked -- from the homey North Cottage, bedrooms, and sitting rooms, to the areas like the basement and third floor of the Main Residence.

Holiday Tours - late November through early January (temporarily unavailable)
A wonderful season at Ford House! Visitors will step back in time to discover the magic of the holidays and hear about the Ford family's traditions and spectacular parties.
