The Ford House

Edsel & Eleanor Ford House tells the story of the home life of a prominent American family.

Holidays at Ford House

Visiting Ford House is a holiday tradition. This year, see how the Fords threw a grand house party!

You are invited to see the sights and sounds of the floral-themed holiday reception Mrs. Ford hosted to honor her granddaughters Lynn and Sheila in 1969.
Learn how the house came alive during large receptions and parties held at the estate, from the decor to the music to the food and fun.
You will also see inside the personal spaces where the family lived and played, and learn about their family winter traditions and hobbies.
From Nov. 29-Jan. 5, tours will be offered:
  • Wednesdays-Saturdays, noon-7:30 p.m.
  • Sundays, noon-4 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Tickets will be sold online in advance here.
Advance sales close midnight the day before the tour. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the Visitor Center in person the day of, first come, first served.
Space is limited on our tours, and some times may sell out. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
$12 adults, $11 seniors, $8 children 6-12, and free for 5 and under. Ford House Members are also free.

Please note: The grounds are open for walking until 5 p.m. The Playhouse will close by 7 p.m.  Grounds-only admission is $5. Bird Island is closed due to construction until fall 2020.

We will not have an evening lighted walk this year, but look for new winter holiday experiences and a fabulous restaurant in 2020 when our new Visitor Center opens!
