“The Future of Movement” exhibition is on display in the new Teague Gallery at Ford House through August 29.
About the exhibition
For more than 55 years, the College for Creative Studies Transportation Design program has been educating the designers leading the wave of ingenuity and mobility-forward design and whose influence in the transportation industry is unmatched anywhere. The program has been influencing the design of anything that moves, from one century into the next: automobiles, boats and personal watercraft, mass transit systems, airplanes, agricultural equipment and much more.
Companies across the globe realize that design plays an increasingly crucial role in the competitiveness of their products in the global economy. That’s why every semester at CCS, students engage in sponsored research projects with corporations from all over the world. This exhibition is a culmination of student work created during those corporate collaborations.
When to visit
The exhibition is free and open to the public. It is located inside the new Ford House Visitor Center in the Teague Gallery. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 AM-8 PM, and Sundays 9 AM-5 PM.
