Fun with Our Feathered Friends at Ford House!

Celebrate Spring and the return of the many species of birds that migrate back to Ford House this time of year at Welcome Back Birds! Come to Ford House on April 24 for a day filled with bird-themed activities and family fun!

At Welcome Back Birds you will:

  • Learn a little Birdwatching 101.
  • Take a guided bird walk with experts.
  • See a bird-banding demonstration.
  • Get up close with birds of prey from Leslie Science & Nature Center.
  • Play fun bird-themed games on Bird Island to learn about different species.
  • Build a woodpecker bird feeder to take home.
  • The Fords were dedicated to wildlife conservation, and Henry Ford pushed for the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, which turns 100 this year.

Tickets are on sale now, and Ford House members get a discount! The cafe will be open, or you can pre-order a box lunch to picnic on the beautiful Ford House grounds.
