Meet Moss, Ford House's Goose Dog Extraordinaire

Moss the Goose DogMoss was born in 2016 and has been an integral part of Ford House for seven years. Moss was born in Athabasca, Alberta, Canada, and was trained by Lisa Wright (http://www.lisawright.ca/) before taking on his duties on the estate.

On any given day, you’ll see Moss chasing away the Canada geese, ensuring that our grounds are pristine for visitors.

Moss is a Border Collie, a breed known for being energetic, affectionate, and extremely smart. Border Collies are athletic, medium-sized herding dogs. Their coats come in various colors and patterns, though black and white are the most common. Their intelligence, athleticism, and trainability make them ideal for the work Moss does at Ford House.

Having a job to perform is important to a Border Collie’s happiness. They feel most fulfilled when working and are loyal and dedicated companions.
