In observation of Juneteenth, Ford House will be closed on Monday, June 19. We will re-open on Tuesday, June 20 at our normal hours.
Education
Education programs at Ford House offer immersive experiences for all learners to explore universal themes of family, community, and culture.
All groups outlined below should plan for approximately 90 minutes per visit (unless a K-2 school group). A minimum of 10 learners is required. Please email grouptours@fordhouse.org or call 313-884-4222 to schedule a visit with at least 3 weeks’ notice.
Grades PreK-12: To request a school group tour for grades PreK-12, please use this form: School Group Tour Form
- $7 per student and adult chaperone | Free for teachers
- We are now offering a 60-minute guided experience for K-2 and a 90-minute guided experience for 3-12. Bring your classroom for a grade-appropriate experience developed around state content standards. Students will engage in discussion, play, and critical thinking in a learner-centered environment. Reinforce learning with a hands-on project or sensory station.

- $7 per youth and adult
- After-school, summer camp, daycare, and homeschool groups can explore the main residence, grounds, or exhibit spaces. Reinforce learning with a hands-on project.

- $7 per scout and adult | Free for troop leaders
- Earn a badge while exploring the main residence, grounds, or exhibit spaces. Reinforce learning with a hands-on project.

- $10 per student | Free for faculty
- Explore historical and contemporary issues through facilitated conversations and experiential learning opportunities.
All-Ages Programs
