Ford House Goes Bold Online: New Website Brings the Historic Estate to Life for Today’s Guests

We’re excited to share some big news: On July 1, we’re launching a completely redesigned fordhouse.org — a better, more beautiful way for you to discover everything Ford House has to offer, from anywhere.

This new website has been a true labor of love, built in collaboration with our friends at Intellectual Ninjas, a creative agency based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Together, we set out to create a site that’s not just new, but better — easier to navigate, more accessible for all visitors, and more inspiring to explore.

A Better Way to Plan and Explore

Our new website keeps the timeless elegance and welcoming spirit you love about Ford House and brings it online in fresh ways:

• Interactive Calendar: Easily search for tours, events, and programs by date to plan the perfect visit.

• Social Stories for Kids: We’re developing friendly, easy-to-follow stories to help families prepare for our most beloved experiences, like Little Goblins and Once Upon a Tea.

• Better Mobile Access: Exploring Ford House on your phone, tablet, or computer will be smooth and easy.

• New Accessibility Tools: We’ve significantly improved behind the scenes to support screen readers, high-contrast viewing, and more.

What’s Coming Next

This is just the beginning. In the months ahead, we’ll be developing:

• Virtual Walkthroughs — Take a peek at our beautiful grounds, gardens, and historic buildings before you arrive. This is especially helpful for families with young children and guests on the autism spectrum who like to preview new spaces.

• An online shopping experience for The Shop at Ford House
