At Ford House, Pride is more than a month—it’s a reflection of who we are and what we stand for every day of the year.

When Eleanor Clay Ford wrote in her will that the estate should be preserved “for the benefit of the public,” she meant everyone. And today, her vision lives on in a place where all people—regardless of background, identity, or who they love—can feel welcome, valued, and safe.

That legacy of inclusion shapes everything we do. From the people who greet you at the Visitor Center to the artists, educators, and historians who bring our programs to life, Ford House is proud to be powered by a culturally diverse team. We celebrate the richness of our differences, and we know our work is stronger because of them.

At Ford House, you’ll find warm smiles, affirming spaces, and programs that reflect a deep and authentic desire to serve every member of our community. We are intentional about access, about representation, and about cultivating a culture of belonging—because being “for the public” means embracing the full spectrum of humanity.

So this June—and every month—whether you’re here for a lakeside stroll, a family day out, or a cozy moment under the stars with someone you love, know this:

You belong here.

Happy Pride, from all of us at Ford House.
